2. Scope and purpose of the app

CrashReport is an application for documenting traffic accidents. It lets you record accident details, add photos, create sketches, and export reports as PDF. All data you enter is stored only locally on your device.

3. What data is processed?

The app only processes data that you enter or create within the app:

  • Accident data (location, time, parties involved, description)
  • Photos you take or select
  • Sketches you create in the app
  • Content included in exported PDF reports

This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or to third parties.

4. Legal basis

Where personal data is processed, processing is based on contract performance or pre-contractual steps (use of the app) under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, and on your consent where you agree to optional features (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

5. Storage period

Data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it in the app or remove the app and its data. We do not keep copies of this data on our own servers.

6. No sale of data, no advertising

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or ad targeting. CrashReport does not include third-party analytics, tracking technologies, or advertising SDKs that collect personal data.

7. Your rights

Under applicable law you have the right to, among other things:

  • Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Object (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

Because app data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time in the app or by uninstalling the app.

8. Changes

This privacy policy may be updated when necessary, e.g. when app features or the legal framework change. The current version is published on this page. We will inform you of material changes via the app or through our usual channels.

10. App permissions

CrashReport may request the following permissions depending on the device and features used:

  • Camera – used only to take photos of the accident scene and attach them to the accident report.
  • Photos / Media – used to select photos from the user's device and include them in the accident report.
  • Storage / Files – used to save and export PDF accident reports created by the user.
  • Location (optional) – may be used to record the accident location if the user chooses to add it.

These permissions are used solely to provide the functionality of the app and are not used for tracking or advertising.

11. Children's privacy

CrashReport is not directed to children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
